Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Melissa Camano, and I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C). I specialize in supporting BIPOC and Latinx women navigating depression and anxiety, as well as empowering and supporting women through every stage of the perinatal journey.

Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse communities, shaping my practice into a space that is deeply culturally competent, inclusive, and compassionate. As a first generation Latina and oldest sister, I have experienced the added responsibilities that felt bigger than my years—being the dependable one, helping my family, translating, caregiving, setting an example, and making sure everyone else was okay.

Becoming a mother opened my eyes to the insufficient maternal mental health care support for pregnant or new mothers. I became trained as a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional through Postpartum Support International in hopes of addressing the gaps in care for mothers and bring more awareness of this issue to others. I welcome you to get in contact with me for any questions you may have, or if you feel ready to move forward in your care.
